本周三，在这个阴沉沉的早晨，我进行了一次紧张而难忘的英语期中考试。
在早读课上，我认真读英语书，生怕漏掉什么，让我没能取得好成绩。但是，当时我并不是很紧张。这时，我听到广播里说要老师拿卷子，心里默默想:放松，放松，我能考好，为什么要紧张？虽然我尽力安慰自己，但紧张的感觉油然而生。突然，4 (3)班的老师进来了。原来她这次是我们监考。我开始放听录音，声音震耳欲聋。我听不清楚一个问题，所以我得到了答案。我暗自心想:天啊，我没听清楚这个问题。如果我得到的答案是错的，不会拖累我吗？我觉得笔试部分很简单，没有仔细检查。
第二天报成绩的时候，心脏扑通扑通的跳着，大脑神经绷到了极点。虽然我考得不错:98.5，但还是不是我理想的分数。果然，我没听清楚的听力题果然错了，一个字少了复数的s。我感到遗憾。如果当时查了的话，可能就错了。
这次考试因为自己的粗心和对题目的轻视而犯下的错误铭刻在我的脑海里。从现在开始，我不能让自己再犯同样的错误，我必须认真做好每一件事。

the output of light and heat of the sun requires that some 600 million tons of hydrogen be converted into helium in the sun every second. this the sun has been doing for several thousands of millions of years. the nuclear energy is released at the sun's center as high-energy gamma radiation, a form of electromagnetic radiation like light and radio waves, only of very much shorter wavelength. this gamma radiation is absorbed by atoms inside the sun to be reemitted at slightly longer wavelengths. this radiation, in its turn is absorbed and reemitted. as the energy filters through the layers of the solar interior, it passes through the x-ray part of the spectrum eventually becoming light. at this stage, it has reached what we call the solar surface, and can escape into space without being absorbed further by solar atoms.
a very small fraction of the sun's light and heat is emitted in such directions that after passing unhindered through interplanetary space, it hits the earth.

这是一次多么美好的课呀，我回家一数，呀！有340分积分卡了。
